Application:

The ELT Series Vibrating Level Switch is a reliable and versatile single-element mechanical device designed for point level measurement of bulk materials and powders in containers, bunkers, and silos.

The sensor is used as:

• Emergency alarm level switch.

• Overfill alarm (maximum level).

• Emptying alarm (minimum level) or run-dry protection.

Operating Principle:

The ELT electronics excite piezoelectric crystals inside the tuning rod, causing the rod to vibrate at its natural resonant frequency in free air. When the material (bulk product) touches the rod, the vibration stops as the resonance is damped. The presence of material is determined by monitoring the change in the vibration amplitude.

Areas of Application:

Due to its versatility, the ELT is suitable for a wide range of products with a minimum density greater than 350 g/L. Typical applications include:

• Agricultural Products: Grains, beans, sugar, animal feed, rice.

• Chemical and Industrial Raw Materials: Detergents, powder dyes, chalk, gypsum, ash, cement, sand, plastic granules.

• Food Industry: Edible oil, spices, dried milk.
