Description

WSP-4: Reliable Point Level Monitoring for Liquids

Application:

WSP-4 Vibrating Level Switches are designed for reliable signalling of liquid limit levels in various conditions: in pressurized or open tanks. They can also indicate flow or the presence of liquid in pipelines.

Construction and Operating Principle:

WSP-4 sensors are designed as a tuning fork (two vibrating forks mounted on a diaphragm). A piezoceramic resonator is attached internally, which excites the rod to vibrate at its natural resonant frequency.

When the liquid touches the forks, the vibration stops or its amplitude significantly decreases. The electronics, housed in the sensor body, detect this damping to determine the presence of the liquid.

The connection of the diaphragm to the base can be direct or indirect (using an extension tube).

Materials and Corrosion Resistance:

The parts of the sensor that contact the medium are made of acid-resistant steel grade PN-EN 1.4404 (AISI 316L).

For use in corrosive environments (chemical, food, or pharmaceutical industries), elements are available with a protective coating of PVDF, EDF, PFA, or PTFE. The housing is made of 316L steel and polyester.
